This year Rev. David Vasquez, the Campus Pastor at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, will be sharing some of his experience from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid that happened in nearby Postville almost two years ago. Out of this experience, Rev. Vasquez has developed a Biblical critique of the national immigration crisis that helps all of us discern a faithful path. Rev. Vasquez is an ordained minister in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and was born in Guatemala.
The Illinois Maya Ministry Forum will be held in the Rockford area. Please contact Rev. Mike Mulberry at 815-406-8063 to share your interest or ask questions. More information will be forthcoming at the beginning of 2010.
